There was once a battle in a place called Thermopylae, 300 brave Greeks held off a persian army of a million men. So could we choose factions on opposite corners and as long as I have an opponent as patient as me we could have a game lasting turns well past 100-150 turns and have huge empires and allies each fueling a Great War. Do you start out at war or just normal neutral nations open to all diplomatic options? Do you know which faction your opponent is? What I am looking for and I understand that I simply won't be getting exactly that, but what I want is a long and hard campaign where ideally you wouldn't even know who your opponent is until you discover them and watch their behavior. And head to head which I'm more interested in but have some questions. Is it identical to grand campaign including 4 turns per year, same size map and do mods like divide et impera or whatever it is still work? What are some necessary mods for it? From what I read there's coop: which is too easy and doesn't satisfy my thirst for difficulty and some reality to this game. ![]()
